Does your nose itch right before an asthma attack?

I used to have a huge fear of my own asthma condition. A fear born out of ignorance, mostly… of not knowing when the next episode would come, or what would have me grabbing frantically for my inhaler.

None of that is necessary though. I learned that slowly, the hard way… way before I uncovered any natural remedies or any real relief. But, today I know that, to perform effective asthma management, all you need to do is to know your own asthmatic symptoms. Otherwise, no treatment can even begin to be effective.

What triggers your asthma? Is it cold air? Is it exercise induced, or caused by allergy? Are you prone to attacks at night, during the day, or anytime? These are all questions that you need to answer.

If not, sooner or later you might realize your treatment isn’t the best it could be… or were prescribed the wrong medicine by accident. Your symptoms are signs of all kinds of things, from which medications are right for you, to whether you should expect to have attacks daily, or monthly, or even yearly.

Because not everyone has the same symptoms, every situation is different. What might mean an asthma attack for you, might be nothing but a chill breeze to someone else. What you might be carrying around in your inhaler could be totally different from what your friend has in his. Adults need a certain kind of care, children need something totally different.

Not to mention the possibility that someone might actually have asthma without realizing it, and suffer in silence, and you could be the one to help them realize the truth.

Become familiar with your asthma symptoms, and especially YOUR OWN personal symptoms, and learn their proper management… if only because relief will be so much sweeter when they’re gone.
